FOCUS A PROFESSIONAL

As a postgraduate student, you'll have the opportunity to gain practical and applied skills, along with valuable experience. This includes working directly with athletes in a professional capacity and participating in training alongside them as a team member. Over 250 international athletes have developed their talents at Hartpury over the past 15 years – a testament to our Sports Academy staff being among the best in their fields. Most are former athletes themselves; some also teach on postgraduate courses and supervise PhDs. Alongside setting the bar for quality standards in our sport and teaching, our academies provide work placement and research opportunities, which enable students to develop their skills and make new discoveries in supported real-world settings. Training as an athlete If you’re keen to get involved in competitive sport alongside your studies, you could join one of our Sports Academies. As a student athlete, you’ll receive high-level coaching and support to achieve your peak performance in your sporting discipline, whilst progressing your qualification.
