MSc | PGDip | PGCert Applied Animal Behaviour and Welfare Supported by academic and industry experts, you’ll study the key elements of animal welfare and explore the interface between ethics and science. You’ll apply legal structures and scientific concepts to modern contexts, discuss philosophical and ethical frameworks, and gain an understanding of animal behaviour. Utilise your expertise to assess animal welfare in real-life situations, managing the constraints and compromises of safeguarding animal wellbeing in practice. Professional experience Develop your expertise with access to over 70 different species on campus, including meerkats, prairie dogs, skunks, rabbits, rodents, tortoises, emus and reptiles. You'll experience a range of teaching methods to strengthen your understanding of topics. You'll uncover new knowledge and develop practical solutions for the challenge you’re exploring. Professional experience You can focus your research in an external environment – for example, your workplace – or you can utilise our own outstanding commercial activities and facilities on campus including a farm, equine and canine therapy centres and over 70 animal species.
