The bigger picture Our projects give our postgraduate students the chance to participate in wider conversations through research conducted by MRes and PhD students, as well as staff. You’ll have opportunities to get involved in these projects as part of modules, your dissertation, as well as our communities of practice (see page 83), joining a rich and varied network that’s changing our perception of animals and the agricultural world. Meaningful engagement Learning in small groups, you’ll have direct access to insights that matter to your learning, facilitating meaningful engagement between yourself and your lecturers to help you progress along your own unique pathway. Some students join us with a clear idea of their goals, others are keen to explore their options before deciding on a direction of travel. Regardless, we’ll work with you as an individual, helping you to synergise your experiences and interests to shape the right career journey for you. Creating new perspectives Alongside learning from leading animal and agriculture practitioners, you’ll have access to lecturers and researchers across our postgraduate departments. This could include working with our sports psychologists to better understand the role of humans in canine sport, or partnering with our equine behaviourists to help shape new welfare policies. You’ll have access to a diverse range of specialists, focused on improving health, wellbeing and behaviour in their areas, enabling you to draw on and test new ideas, whilst finding solutions to important issues.
