Sport - Rugby kicking This workshop covers all elements of kicking, from punting to place kicking. The workshop will begin with tuition and technique-based content so that students can gain more in-depth knowledge and understanding of kicking, finishing with a game-based activity.

Equipment required: This is a lecture style session and as such, no specific equipment is required. Year groups: The sporting industry in the UK is worth a staggering £20 billion per year (2020) and provides over 450,000 jobs. This workshop outlines what sports business management at university is really like, covering topics such sponsorship, finance and marketing and the power of sport. Equipment required: Outdoor kit such as shorts and t-shirt and preferably football boots with studs. If you do not have football boots, wear trainers. Year groups:

Sport – Biomechanics in sport

Students will spend half the day learning about what biomechanics is in sport, and why it is important for athletes to understand this. They will then put theory into practice using the technology within our biomechanics laboratory.
