As a Hartpury student, you’ll develop the technical skills and experience to run a range of outdoor adventure activities with different age groups. We’ll support you to get out of your comfort zone and develop key skills in leadership, problem solving, and using your initiative, as well as how to work well in a team. Our courses are delivered through a mix of classroom sessions and off-site practical days. Three days of your week will be spent in the classroom, where you’ll explore the theory underpinning outdoor adventure. Then you’ll be off-site for the rest of the week, seeing the theory come to life as you take part in practical activities. With so many adventure centres in the local area, you’ll be out sailing, paddle boarding, mountain biking, orienteering, climbing and much more. Work experience is an important part of learning here at Hartpury.
