Animal students have been enjoying trips to Cotswold Wildlife Park, Bristol Zoo Project, and Oak Brook Community Farm, and also completed the Big Garden Bird Watch. Some of our second year students also recently travelled to South Africa. Agriculture students spend between 300 hours and one year gaining hands-on skills on local farms and our commercial farm business. Farm duties are a key part of the course in order to develop practical skills for the future. Equine students have travelled to White Stallion Ranch, Arizona to experience western riding, and the world-famous Spanish Riding School in Vienna to see different training techniques in action. Sport students have enjoyed trips to the Snowdome and sports stadiums, heard from industry guest speakers, and undertaken invaluable work placements. They’ve even travelled abroad for competitions with other colleges and ski trips.

Practical activities for our Outdoor Adventure and Uniformed Protective Services students include sailing, hill walking, climbing, Police team building, RAF practical days and Firefighter training.
