Thriving on a continuous and relentless focus on improvement, and with students always at the heart of decisions, Hartpury College is currently rated as Ofsted Outstanding in all areas for academic and curriculum-related provision (May 2018 and March 2024), as well as for our residential services (November 2024). The College is committed to maintaining strong industry connectivity, a key aspect woven into all our programmes. This ensures we meet industry skills demands while equipping students with the abilities needed to support the sectors we serve, as recognised by the March 2024 Ofsted judgement of making a ‘strong’ contribution to local, regional, and national skills needs.

As a designated specialist land-based education provider, Hartpury College has a long and established history of delivering a high quality sport, land-based and A-Level provision on a local, regional, and national scale. In September 2018, the organisation evolved

to become a single-site University and College, creating a unique establishment within the sector and providing several strategic and operational benefits to the student experience. The dual academic and sporting pathway, incorporating our Sports Academy model, is exceptional, supporting recruitment and providing opportunities for established and developing athletes alike. This Academic Strategy sets out our ambitions for Hartpury College as we look towards 2030, acknowledging the continuously changing educational and political landscape, coupled with the transformation and evolution of the sectors that we serve.
