At the Heart of opportunities “With the support of the ICE team, I was able to do some amazing equine and veterinary work placements, and get the right experience and connections for my career. My tutor also encouraged me to go for every opportunity, like being our course rep and doing extra certifications, which helped me prepare for working in industry. That’s why I am where I am now.”

You’ve got an amazing year ahead of you. Gloucester city is nearby, and the Quays are packed with bars, restaurants, outlet shopping and a cinema – plus Wednesday is student night! Cheltenham is also just a bus ride away, and offers shopping, the theatre, and plenty of places to eat and drink. As we return to normal, more places are opening up for you to enjoy. You’ll be in the heart of Gloucestershire, also known as the festival county. Check overleaf to see just a few of the events that are on each year. We’ve highlighted anything that we know has been cancelled due to Covid-19. The rest appear to be going ahead, however, please do check the websites in case plans change in line with the latest government guidance.
