Life as a Hartpury student Your Students’ Union Having our own Students’ Union means that there’s always plenty to do outside your learning. Your Student Experience team organise comedy nights, quizzes, movie nights, live gigs and our annual Summer and Winter balls – recent acts include Katy B, Chase and Status, Sigma, Labrinth, Wretch 32 and Lethal Bizzle, as well as BBC Radio One DJs Greg James and Scott Mills. We have plenty of clubs and societies so you can follow your passion or discover a new hobby. You could also get involved in CV-boosting voluntary work or raise money for charity. Your Students’ Union is your voice. They’ll listen to your feedback and work with us to improve your student experience. You’ll elect the students you feel will represent you best – you might even feel inspired to get involved in student politics yourself. Your social spaces Outside of your lectures, you can chill out in Red & Black, our Costa café, or grab some food in Graze, our student restaurant. There are plenty of snack bars dotted around campus too. Heroes Common Room is your space to hang out with friends. Fully equipped with a pool table, three Smart TVs, game consoles and DVDs, it’ll soon become one of your favourite spots on campus.
