Achieve a bachelor’s degree in one further year of study or a master’s degree in two further years of study

On course to a career

For over 10 years, Hartpury University has welcomed Canadian provincial two and three year diploma students to join our advanced entry programs to obtain a bachelor’s degree in just a single year of further study. Our expertise across our specialist degrees in sport, agriculture, animal sciences and equine equips our graduates with the skills and knowledge to achieve their dream careers.

“The major draws for me were the time factor and how the courses at Hartpurywere more geared to what I was interested in. The modules available were a better fit for me than doing Kinesiology or Physical Education, which were the choices available in Canada. For both the undergraduate and master’s programme, the lecturers were phenomenal. I also really benefitted from the placement opportunities available. During my time at Hartpury I was able to work with Gloucester Rugby (a professional rugby club in England) and also at a local high school. Those experiences were not mandatory, but they were invaluable. The route I took at Hartpury has given me specialist knowledge that has been received positivelywhen I came back to Canada. I now work for the Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services. I also work part-time for a private facility, delivering a high-performance sports and conditioning programmes to elite youth athletes.” Adrian Parkes, (Fanshawe College) BSc Sports Performance and MSc Strength and Conditioning

Experience the best of the UK and Europe

When studying abroad, the location you select is just as important as the subject you study. Our 360-hectare campus provides a safe, picturesque environment in which to experience student life. Our students benefit from our surroundings and the leisure opportunities offered by the city of Gloucester and Cheltenham town centre. There’s always plenty to do on campus, but when it’s time to shop, eat, drink and have fun, it’s great to know that there are plenty of other options nearby.

If youwant to explore further, you can spend time in London, which is just two-and-a-half hours fromour campus, aswell as other UK tourist destinations such as Bristol, Bath, Birminghamand Stratford-on-Avon, all within an hour of Hartpury.

For the those who want to explore mainland Europe, it’s a quick ‘hop’ to Paris, Amsterdam or Madrid, with the beaches of Spain, Portugal or Greece also just a short flight away.

Living on or off campus you decide!

Many of our Canadian students enjoy the convenience and simplicity of living on campus, as well as the choice of being fully-catered or taking a self-catering approach.

“I loved living in halls in my first year. I was so close to everything and it was like being part of a family. My two roommates are still my best friends now.”

Sophie Hulme Canadian BSc Equine Science graduate

However, for those who want a more ‘urban’

experience, we can provide high quality self-catering student accommodation in the city of Gloucester, or you can go fully independent and access the local private rental market. There is plenty of suitable student accommodation in both Cheltenham and Gloucester.
